We want to purchase a used car. Any suggestions where to buy one (Belize City, Dangriga or Belmopan)?
And how does it work with the registration and liability insurance? (where to go, how much)
What personal documents do they need?

There are usually cars driving around of these places with "For Sale" sign on them.

In Belize City and Belmopan there are "lots" with vehicle to be sold.

As far as I know, all you need if a transfer of ownership of the vehicle to register it in your name.

Once you get the registration certificate, then you go to buy the insurance.

Are you a resident?

Currently we are not residents. Do you know where the registration office (?) is located? and do you expect any problems as we are not residents?

IN what area will you be stationed?

There is a transport dept in every town to do vehicle registration.

Here in Dangriga, it's at the bus terminal.

Do you plan to come to live here or just leave your vehicle here for when you visit?

We have purchased already a lot and going to open a business near Placencia. We will arrive in February and then apply for the working permit.

First you purchase the insurance, then you and the seller have to go to transport dept to transfer the title, get vehicle inspected, and you are done. Only major town have a transport dept, Placencia does not. Have to go to either Dangriga or Independance. But Ind is only open on Thursdays.
