Continental has a "weekend Special" on now. Fly Saturday, return Tuesday. KCMO> Houston $135 inc tax r/t,,Houston>BZE $265.10 inc tax r/t. I had to buy two r/t tickets to take advantage of the "X" class fares. May have to do "cary-on" both ways to avoid a bagage checking problem.

As the saying goes, Dont cry over spilled milk... 2 weeks ago Continental had a fare of $257 R.T San Fran/ Belize that was less than half of what I am going to have tp pay because I waited.....

Theoretically you should be able to have the tickets you previously bought re issued for the lower fare. It will cost about $100 per ticket re-issue fee but if the fare dropped significantly more than that, it may be worth it. You will probably have to go to an airport ticketing counter to do it as travel agents can't do it any more and there are virtually no airline offices any longer other than at airports.

You guys are lucky......if you live in the Pacific Northwest you're looking at anywhere from $600 to $900 just for coach depending on what time of year you're going. Yet first class is only $1,500. We usually use our air miles to upgrade to first class with a price tag of only $540.

OK, I was curious. I'm not sure I'm interpreting your earlier post correctly. Do you guys pay $900 for your coach ticket and then upgrade with points? Or do you buy your coach ticket with points and upgrade to first class for $540?

Oh, yeah, and how many points do you need to upgrade vs number of points for coach?

Thanks in advance.
