Thanks pedro. So you say Shelly is no longer in the bakery business? Any idea where she is now? Is she still in San Pedro or did she move back to Belize City?

Shelly is still here on the island...

She is busy trying to set up her new business out of her home. She is still doing catering and baking upon request.

You can email [email protected] or call her at 501-226-2447

Ms. Shelly is truly an outstanding caterer. Her food is simply wonderful and she and her staff do wonderful events.

Would someone mind marking the new bakery on the wikimapia map?

It's on the map already but it's misnamed as El Fogon.

Go to the top of the airstrip and roll around. You'll find 2 El Fogons. The French bakery is the furthest east and the smaller of the two. I just wrote a comment to that effect on the description.

Great coffee and gigantic cinnamon rolls, btw.

I changed the name to French Bakery.

You can use the Menu to Edit Page and change the name if there is an actual store name.

How often do they update the maps on that? I went to the view of the Peninsula (Placencia) and it was obviously way out of date.

The maps come from Google Maps, so it's as up-to-date as google is. I've seen recent updates to imagry here in vegas, so I know it does get updated. But the remote areas are probably upated much less frequently.

This place is really good. High quality breads are hard to find when you're on the road, and the French Bakery is as good as I've seen. The baguettes have a perfect interior with a chewy crust, and the cinnamon rolls are almost as good as my grandma's were. Delicious!
