I got info from a site that I think might be outdated. I am staying 7 weeks on Caye Caulker this trip and I read that I could just go down to the police station before my 30 days were up and pay them $30 and they would issue me a visa for the extended time. Is this correct? I'm arriving next Monday and I sure don't want any hassles at customs. Help please!?

I don't believe they are doing that anymore. We live next to the police station and I haven't heard about Immigration coming to Caye Caulker for years. You will need to take a trip to San Pedro to get your visa extension stamp.

Thanks. Tina (from the hostel) said the same. I don't mind a short trip to San Pedro. Any idea on the cost?

The round trip to San Pedro is $15 US, the visa is $25 US...
