And here I am sitting in the hot sun not close enough to the water. It still has not rained here in 3 mo. Got a COLD front moving in tonite though. Might cool down in upper 60's tonite but back to 95 range tomorrow. Might rain somewhere, maybe even here!(near DFW) I don't expect snow anytime soon but you never know here.(remember the ice bowl Cowbowy's Thanksgiving game a few years back). Iam a mere 2 score and 2 years old and my wife (TexasCat) is a mere 2 years younger. We have 2 daughters that know way more than us that are 17 and 14 respective. Can't wait for them to teach us how stupid we are. We plan to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary by becoming certified open water divers in AC on OCT. 8-9. After that I may succomb to alcohol poisoining. I have been THE MAN in a houseful full of women for a very long time. I can't wait to be there. (TexasDawg)

kcbc....I am in Maine now but if you change your mind and go to the picnic, look to your left after going by the 7-11 and you can see the house I built on Tierra Verde. Chloe, Tick, Jane....thanks for the kind words. At my age, I need a mother like a hole in the head!

I'm not adopted, but my parents keep moving in the middle of the night and they NEVER tell me where they are going! Do you think they are trying to tell me something?

TexasDawg - I'm sure my husband can totally relate. He raised two sons and then met up with me and well I have two daughters. I'm not sure he knew what he was getting into. I think he's still in shock! lol

Well, obviously, bigzeke, you keep finding them or you wouldn't know that they keep moving...LOL Seriously though, being adopted can give you the feeling that you weren't wanted. Fortunately, I had GREAT adoptive parents. Only problem I found was that they never told me I was adopted...found out by accident at age 40....SURPRISE!!

Well I guess I should be reading this board more often! I feel left out!! I am the owner of Barb's Belize - a travel agency that deals only with Belize. I used to post very often on the board but have gotten SOOOO busy with my little business that I hardly have time anymore. I probably arranged trips for half of you! I recognize a lot of the names. Anyway, I am 41, married, have 3 boys (who LOVE San Pedro), and recently relocated my home and office to Taos, New Mexico. It's my San Pedro in the Mountains! I've been going to Belize since '94 and have been down about 15-16 times by now. I always spend some time in SP and also try to see another part of the country each time. I spend a significant part of my trip checking out hotels so I can let the folks know the scoop. My mission is getting the right people to the right places in Belize. As all of you know it is very different from most any other place which is why I specialize in only Belize. I was working as a travel agent in Woodstock NY when I went to Belize on a routine travel agent trip. Well, it changed my life and since then I have to force myself to go anywhere else!!! Sometimes I feel more at home in San Pedro than anywhere else! But it looks like Taos is going to be a good second. Check out my website at www.barbsbelize.com (created by Marty, text and photos by yours truly!) If I can help you out at all or you just want to chat, just write. I try to give good air only discounts to msg board regulars! And have lots of hotel and other info for you first timers!
