What are the living costs like in San Pedro? Rent? Gas? Electric etc?

More expensive than you'd think -- and that's coming from a tourist and just listening to locals

I'm sure you'll get an earful on the forum here. Have you visited?

Check out the search feature for much already shared on the topic. Here's one recent thread.

i hit up the search and this thread, there is no mention of numbers. Dollar amounts. If someone could give an estimate, like how much a 1 bedroom apartment is. Not necessarily on the beach, no vanity, just an amount.

Check the links top right to the news papers and look at the classified sections to get an idea of prices.

Truly depends on how you are living, just like living in different parts of the states. Many will find it is way less (without a car, car insurance, or gas right there you are way under) whereas many will find it way more.

We are still using the amount of $2,000us/month as a minimum recommendation, and that varies to the amount you drink and eat out in restaurants. Some of our residents can drink that much in a week.
Anyone living here is welcome to help us adjust that if you feel it is wrong.

Just received this which is about right:

"Since my house is paid for I have no rent or payment.
Consequently I can live comfortably on about US$800 per month.
Electric golf cart = no gasoline.
Electric bill = BZ$120 per month
Water= BZ$22.55 per month
Cable = BZ$40. per month
Phone/DSL = BZ$180- BZ$200 per month"

Add rent $500 to $1,000us and food and $2,000 would be about right for one person.
