Myke Offline
Hey everyone my name is Myke. I'm 24 years old. I lived in San Pedro from 93-94 with my dad and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. I really want to get back as soon as I can. I'm thinking about this commercial diving school here in Seattle and i was just wondering if its possible for an American to make any kind of living as a diver in San Pedro? Tourism, construction, photography whatever. not interested in making tons of money there. I just want to be able to eat and pay rent. Also what's the rental situation like? Do I have any hope of finding simple, affordable housing? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Myke,
Welcome to the message board! So you were just a young pup (around 9 yrs. old) when you lived in San Pedro with your dad. Plan a trip to see if it's still the paradise that you remember. You'll get lots of advice and answers to your questions. Make sure to ask if they spend lots of time or live on the island. Good luck to you.

I'm an x pat that learned to teach diving so i could have a job down here.
Its been the coolest thing i've ever done.
I make money have fun and live well.
The Commercial Diving School wouldn't have much to do with diving down here. Were sport divers and I'm a recreational diving instructor. a PADI one.
