With regards to Canadian Bacon, it's actually a great movie with a lot of the SCTV alumni in it, and Allan Alda. It's a great movie that ridicules the misnomers folks have or have had aboot Canada.

Rent it sometime. It's a great laugh with an easy storyline to follow and a great cast of comedians.

True enough KC, most Canadian movies have storylines that are too complicated for "Merkans" to follow. So, I think CD is making a good point.

I have heard someone actually say you betcha and it was in Minnesota.

I just re-read this thread. I think it should be noted, that for a Belizean to get into Canada . .well, almost forget it.

They have to apply, just like for the states, and again, the fee is non-refundable. Worse, the Canadian Embassy is in Guatemala City.

Whatever the problem is/are (and I have my ideas as to what they are), it is not a matter of skin color (as was suggested in another post).

We have a Belizean lady friend who married a Canadian. She was not allowed to move with him immediately after marriage to Canada, she had to file tons of paperwork and had to wait a full 12 months before she was allowed to join him.
