The PM can't control world oil prices but can lower govt taxes on fuel. BEL just asked for an increase, which has yet to be approved by the PUC.

During the election campaign the PM promised to make fuel cheaper by mixing it with Belize oil. When he knew he couldn't keep that promise he shouldn't have made it.

after what,, a week(?), the PUP's newspaper(belize times) claimed the drug plane that landed on the northen was the UDP's fault!
and they used the cubans to get in some digs as well.

Clouding Barnacle.

In reality, "a promise is comfort to a fool". No ruling party in Belize will ever be able to effectively control fuel prices. Duh!

Now the recent rise in crime is another issue. Perhaps after the Easter break. (pst....it's been more than a week)

I get it now.....up .20 really means the fuel price went down, considering inflation and the current value of money. Very smart.

I hear ya. If you can't take the heat..... What ever happened to the guns for money program. It would be a good start in dampening the crime situation. I hope more promises will be honored than forgotten, for all of our sakes.
