Now you understand why it's so hard to leave. Nice note on the children. They are one thing that sets AC apart from a lot of other tourist oriented destinations, those kids walking around, smiling, going about their daily lives. It kind of makes you feel like a guest in a big family, rather than a customer in a vacation factory.

Great trip report AzBob - Cool you got to hang with Drummer Jim he is really nice.
I am as far as when you got to Estel's and it is making me hungry ha ha - thanks for the tip on Charles BBQ ribs I will ask next time I see him. They are my favorite breakfast spot cause of the potatoes not everyone serves them here.
Will pm you Forrest's email soon as I am done reading.

Ahhhhhhh, yes... another falls victim to the 'ambience' and atmosphere of Estel's. We were especially lucky in that we stayed at the Spindrift, right next door.
Absolutely great report... we were there in December and sat with Dennis and the US for 3 nights! Also sat one afternoon drinking Bloody Marys supplied by Charlie Worthington - enjoying some of the same stories I'm sure you heard, AzBob! Sure makes it hard to sit on a Sunday afternoon and know that some very fortunate people are eating BBQ chicken and ribs and listening to the Usual Suspects right at that time. We stayed for seven hours and it was just a wonderful time. I'll never forget on Wed night when we wandered up to the band at The Spindrift and Drummer Dan hollered out.. "you're late"!
