This coming from someone who has not actually visited the ruins, suprised that Altun Ha came out ahead of Lamanai since so many folks prefer Lamanai over the other...?

Altun Ha is easier to get to and I believe the excursion is less expensive.
A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

and I'd be willing to bet that a sizeable chunk of the diff between Altun Ha and Lamanai is attributable to the cruisers for the very reason that SS mentioned.

Thank god for that, Lamanai is too ecologically sensitive to have too many cruisers.
