Anyone stay at Seaside Cabanas? What is the beach in front like? I thought since it was next to the water taxi pier it wouldn't be that good.

How about Caye Caulker Condos or on the other end Bannana Cabana.

Heading to CC for New Years weekend. Just myself. Pool is nice but not a requirement. Just want a nice ocean view from my patio/balcany.

What are your favorite places to stay?

Seaside is the only place on CC with a pool as far as I know.

Hey Gotbeach........you do know that if you're going to Caye Caulker you will not find a dream-like beach anywhere on the island right? I mean not in the sense of white sand stretching for miles...not that kind of beach.

We were in CC for 2 weeks in March. Stayed at Caye Caulker Condos, had a great time, had a 2nd floor room, with a great view of the ocean. We also liked this location because it was near the main swimming area / beach at The Split and because it was very quiet at night, away from the centre of the village.

We met many people and everyone I spoke to was pleased with their accomodations, no matter where they were staying, including Seaside Cabanas. My recollection is that Iguana Reef Inn also has a pool and so does Amanda's Place. Could be wrong.

Have a blast.

Thanks Timwit. I've been to AC and took a day trip to CC but got rained out. I'd like to give CC a try this time. I'm not expecting a "corona commercial" beach. I go to Tulum for that.

Just want to chill on my patio/balcony in between my dives and watch the ocean and scenery go by.

I was curious to know about the beach in front of Seaside being next to the water taxi pier.

Pool is just a consideration.

I appreciate the advice.

Banana Cabana is a great place right on the water and very quiet.

Probably not much difference in "beach" areas, as far as Seaside vs the Condos goes. The condos are closer to the split, but not by much. If you would enjoy a pool, maybe go for Seaside, but both are very nice.

Iguana Reef and Amanda's Place both do have pools. We love Amanda, will be staying with her in June.

We have not stayed on AC so can't comment. From what you're looking to do I'm sure you'll have a great time. Oregon is correct that it's not a big place so nothing is "far away". Both places you are considering are on the upper end of the price range for accomodations and I'm sure you will be pleased with either. Both places get great reviews. We loved the condos because of the location and the private balcony and roof top hammocks. Seaside has a great pool area and an on-site bar and restaurant. Makes for a less private stay but that may or may not be what you're looking for.

I have stayed at Seaside Cabanas a couple times. The beach and view are great. If you want to stay on the cheap, beach is just as good at Popeyes but no pool. It's just a few steps to the South.
