Anyone run across any fare specials from..SFO..Boise..Salt lake City..or Seattle?? I have a group of friends coming down in June from various places.

No; I'm hoping for June tickets, too, and the prices stink!

Farecompare used to have a feature where you put in the trip location (BZE), and it would show the top 20 or 50 fares from various cities across the US. I can't seem to find that now, though.

Also, Hotwire lets you search a 30-day time frame, so if the dates are flexible, that can be a good site.

I'll keep an eye out for these cities, if you keep an eye out for a sale from St. Louis!

Your friends should probably buy now for June, sounds like prices are only going up and summer tends to be high priced for traveling.

I know, but usually fare sales happen in the spring and fall, yesterday the airfare on Taca went down $200 from SFO from $780 to $520, using Kayak and booking with Taca, I have told my friend in Boise to just bite the bullet, we are providing housing for free so they are saving $$$$$$$

I was suprised when I booked for november they quoted one price and then when I completed my purchase and picked my seats the price went down. Some seats have a different value. I would try www.seatguru.com and play with the seat assignments and see if that helps.

With that said coming from Boston - lowest fare I have found is $568.00

My ticket from Kansas City for MAy 8 on Cont. was $647. And,,, The wholesale price of gas is RAPIDLY approaching $3.00/ gal. puke,vomit,GWB and the value of the $.

Lucky you...my family in California hasnt seen $3.00 a gallon for months....

We haven't seen 3.00 a gallon since last fall! Up to 3.50 and expected to hit 4.00 by summer

Cheapest gas I can find in California (Bay area) is $3.75. And the one gas station that has that price is packed all day long!

Something strange is going on. For weeks, the price from STL for mid-June hasn't been below $686 all in, and now Expedia, Sam's Club travel (that uses Expedia) and bookit.com have lower prices for AA flights - $617 and $621. The same $686 still shows up on AA.com, kayak, etc. Any theories on this?

Something MORE strange is going on..a few times a week when I check airfares from SFO they are really cheap, last week Taca went from $750 to $520, this morning American went from $768 to $512,, this only last for a few hours and is usually posted in the morning and gone by afternoon......

Have to buy it when you see it lower than normal. Stimulus marketing.

I know, but I am looking for a group of people coming down, by the time they get online the deals are gone..I tried telling them this...again this morning lots of fares on American went down a few hundred dollars....OH WELL...

Yes indeed - AA is offering some great fares! (May & June dates) Round trip from SFO is $513.00 (includes fees & taxes). These are good flights - one short stop to change planes. Enough time to stretch your legs and get a bite to eat.

Good for you guys. AA increased our dates from STL from $686 to $713.

Here's something even more frustrating - we actually booked tickets yesterday, received the email confirmation, but the $ amount quoted was not what was billed to the credit card. They would not honor the original booking and cancelled the whole itinerary. Figures it was too good to be true - the tickets were $220 INCLUDING TAXES. I have the email with 4 tickets for $883.94. Needless to say, I won't ever check cheapflightsales.com again.

I signed up for the AA deal finder and was sent a promo code for 15% off (the tax10 code Don sent before didn't work for me). Unfortunately, I must have closed the screen before I could get the code. If anyone else gets this code, please post. Thx!

There are some decent sales going on right now on Taca & other carriers. Must purchase by 25 April. Check Orbitz & Kayak and the airline websites.

ADVANCE PURCHASE/TICKETING: Tickets must be purchased at least 3 days in advance of travel, but no later than 11:59 p.m. CT on April 25, 2008. round-trip purchase is required.

LENGTH OF STAY: A 3-night or Saturday-night minimum stay is required, and the maximum allowable stay is 90 days.

TRAVEL DATES: Fares are valid for travel through June 14, 2008.

Continental's "weekend Fare" from Kansas City to BZE is $278+tax (about $100). but you will have to hurry. It leaves Saturday and returns Tuesday. no refund class X.

Just got 4 tickets on Delta for $634. ( all txs. incld.) for Feb.5-15-09 trip.
1 stop Cinn.-Atlanta-Bze. total travel time 5 hrs.
It was $824 out of Dayton where I live, 50 mile drive to Cincinnati but well worth it.
I usually don't get tickets this early, but they say flights are going up a avg. of 5% a month over the next year.

Still not seeing any deals for June yet.
