How is the weather like second half of February in general on Ambergris Caye ?

The weather in February.........PERFECT!!

The weather in February is not always perfect. It is weather, just like anywhere else, though February is generally one of the nicer winter months.

It can be quite windy, if you care about that.

LOVE February! Can stay in a non-AC room and be very comfortable with just a fan at night. Daytime humidity is palatable.

Have come in February for the past 5 years and have only had one day where it rained all day. It is usually windy but gorgeous!

Keep in mind that if your plans include snorkeling the winds may cause outings to get cancelled. I was there the first week of April, and it was still quite windy, but there was only one day when snorkeling trips got cancelled.

We do have plans for snorkeling and fishing, probably a catamaran tour too. Do you think those activities have a high risk to be canceled ?

I read that Feb-Apr are pretty much the same and are the 3 best months to go to AC. We could move our trip to April but we already booked most of it so we are not sure it makes sense to change everything now. Any take on that ?

I have been in SP the past 4 Februarys.
44 days of skydiving and 10 days jumping was cancelled over that time. Mostly due to clouds, maybe 4 days because of really high winds.

Weather is better than January. Had problems trying to get north in '07 on a Catamaran trip because of north wind. Other than that no problem...

Was there in late February 2008. It was beautiful, sunny and warm for first 4 days and then turned cloudy and off and on showers. It was very windy the entire time.

One time in January and 11 times in February, weather is always great. The wind does not blow, I prefer to refer to it as a tropical breeze, a few rain showers, but hey, just another wonderful day in paradise. I wouldn't trade February for my trip. I would go in January if I could stay for TWO months tho, since that's not going to happen, I'll take February.
