We have never been to AC before and are going on 5/17 and looking for a great bar to lean on and have a great time. We have found some great ones in Saint Martin, the Sunset Beach Bar and in Aruba, Moombas. We would love everyones input:)

You'll probably get as many answers as there are bars on AC. Since you have chosen to stay up north, I highly recommend the Palapa Bar. Heck, I'd recommend that even if you weren't staying up north. Head into town on Sunday and enjoy BC's Beach Bar, with the beach BBQ and live music.

Rojo Lounge-fancy and wonderful.
Palapa Bar-what a view.
Fido's South-bowling on the beach.
Fido's-live music and what you are probably looking for.

As you can see there are many watering holes to try. The Belikin's are cold and the One Barrel rum flows!

Yup! All of 'em. And find out who does what, and when. For ex: Fidos has live music 6 nite/week, Wet Willies is rockin' on a couple of nites. Chicken Drop at the Spindrift on Wed nite. Beach Barb-B-Que at BC's on sunday, and next to the chicken drop on Wed. Palapa is simply a great place to duck into for one! They are all great, have fun!

Plus try that little Jamaican game they have off to one side. A "ring toss" type thing. Not easy ; )

Playa Lounge is open now (where cannibals used to be) and from what I heard it is definitely worth a visit.

LOL Otter! it may not be the " best Bar" but it sure is fun to be there when Spurs shows up! make sure you have your earplugs in

Do you have any pics Tacogirl? A few weeks ago, we saw the concrete going in, it appeared to be a nice size bar, but the construction was still too early to tell if was a two level or how enclosed, etc... it was going to be. Certainly looked inviting!

How about Casey's bar The Boatyard, I hear it is great with a really good BBQ!

I LOVE Island Perk it is a great place for a cup of coffee...but their espresso-tinis are to die for. A great draft beer and 2 for 1 one local rum drinks from 4-6 not to shabby.
It's a great place to sit and start off your night.

The best one is that one that serves Belikin. I can't remember the name of it.

Oh, yea, that place with the "ice cold" Belikin.

Best bar on AC ....that might be cheating.
Jets is the most famous in Belize by far.
My favorite is the Island Perk.
one of the few I can still order a double strait up and get served a double espresso automatically with a smile.
