The extremes some of these environmental scares are being taking to boggles my mind. I saw a report tonight that there might be a little lead in some artificial turf installed in some high school fields, so they closed the field! I’m all for protecting people from legitimate threats but it seems there needs to be some balance and/or a reality check when some of these so called “dangers” come up.

Most of the "lead poisoning" we are familiar with don't come from no astroturf. Unfortunately, we cannot close up THOSE playing fields as it would smack of some sort of "ism".
