Probably. We have one in our Banana tree with the exact same nest and style of weaving it onto the underside of the leaf.

Oriole is very good guess.
This is definitely how they make their nests.
And the chick looks a lot like papa.

I think I have identified 5 different orioles in my northern yard. I love the nest!

That is really neat!!! I've seen the nests alot but never the chicks.....the locals call them "banana birds" because they always build their nests like little hammocks under banana leaves. Nice photos!

I found a few more nests around the yard. I love this time of year but all the orioles are draining my hummingbird feeder and not leaving any for the hummingbirds!
