I am trying to get information on Burrell Boom. My sister Ana Allen and father Dufy Nunez should have gone there for shelter..

Teli,

Your god-mother Sonia would like to hear from you. We have some contacts in Boom that may be able to help you. Dean's father lives there and might know their where abouts. Where are you? Either post your number or e-mail it to me.

My e-mail is [email protected]

Just spoke to relatives in Boom. Telephones are still
working, and water supply still going, but of course,
no power. They say that the wind is howling and the
rain is coming down like crazy. Tree branches are in
the streets and water is coming through any holes in
the house(s)- (called 2 different sets of family).
Their homes are filled with relatives from Belize
city, but they are still worried about other family
members who did not leave.
They are all just waiting it out they say, and hope
that tomorrow is different. No news at all from family
in Belize city.
Well, I hope my house is weathering it's first
Hurricane in good form!

I will be calling Boom again in the morning. Will
post again then. As far as relief efforts go, I have a
big garage, if anyone wants storage for anything, or a
central depot of sorts. I live about 20 minutes from
Houston Intercontinental Airport. Just let me know via
e-mail!

Later
Niall

Talked to relatives in Boom just now. Winds have come down some, but still
raining heavily. No major damages reported as yet. Spoke to a friend in
Miami, and he said that his relatives in Ladyville are saying pretty much
the same, except for some flooding in certain areas. A lot of cleaning up
inside the houses right now due to leaking, and moving buckets and furniture
to catch/avoid the water as it comes in - apparently through any minor hole
or crack!

Very light wind. Rain has stopped to a
sprinkle only in some areas. Sun appears to be coming out. No real damage to
anywhere so far, other than wet floors etc.
