Barrow says fuel prices to reach $15 a gallon

Is that USD or BD? And we're bitching about $3.43 a gallon!??!!?

That would be $15 Bz or $7.50 US per gallon.

Often folks complain that our services are too costly but the island has to have everything transported via aircraft or boat - all modes of transportation of goods these days utilize gas or diesel.

The sand lighters still get up and go when the wind is blowing, but we can't all wait around and live on the wind's schedule.

Diving, fishing, food supplies, furniture - you name it, the cost of fuel was involved in supplying it.

The cost of living is heading up again.
