Anyone know of a way from Belize to Nicaragua that doesn't involve a 24 hour bus trip or a stop in El Salvador?

Actually...I have no problem with El Salvador...but is Taca the only flight there?

Ha...I've already checked....TACA through El Salvador is the only way to fly in unless you want to go through the US.....

One option is to fly to Corozal, cross the border, bus 5 hours to Cancun and fly Copa one-stop to Managua, with a change of planes in Panama City. Until recently, you could have skipped the bus entirely by flying Alma de Mexico from Chetumal to Cancun, but that service has been discontinued.

Not a great option, but you could also bus to Guatemala City via Flores on Linea Dorada and ADN (about 14 or 15 hours on a bus, not quite 24 hours) and then fly Copa nonstop to Managua. From GUA there also are one-stops on Mexicana and LACSA.

what about flying from Belize to Honduras on Maya Island Air or Atlantic Air, then flying to Nicaragua from there?

is there a problem with san salvador??i am flying in to belize from costa rica with a change of planes there...i have read that it is not a problem...anyone know differently?

I dont think that was the problem.neither TACA or ElSalvador ..the tickets are running about $500 US and I think she was looking for a cheaper way since we are so close
