We are planning a dive trip to Caye Caulker and know that there are options to get from the airport in Belize City to Caye Caulker. The flight is faster but with all of our dive gear I am concerned that it will all get there by the time we want to dive (or get there at all). Although the ferry is slower, bringing our own gear aboard the ferry is a surer bet. Any ideas?

What do you mean it will get there by the time you want to dive? (or get there at all) Once your luggage arrives in Belize if you are paying for the flight to San Pedro it would come with you (or the flight before or after, etc...)

I've had plenty of luggage lost within the states. The last three times I traveled US/Belize and Belize/US...and each time it was left somewhere in the states. It always arrived at my location the next day.

My wife and I visited in January to dive in CC and we took the boat from Belize City to CC. No issues and it was fun to see Belize City.
We have also flown....your luggage will be fine either way.

Boat is cheaper.
