I know this was an "Italian" subject and a serious one we are not making lite of, and no hi-jack, just us cajun's recalling old times. Looks like we might have to start a new subject on Cajun food casue I did not find any raw oysters or boiled crab on Ambergris Caye.

azbob, we should do that......swap some good cajun lore & recipes. My Mom was an excellent cook.....she was Cajun French...100%

i live right outside of new orleans.

one of my big problems when i get down there is trying to figure out what im going to do about food!

I was raised in Houma, went to Nichols in 1961 but it is in Thibadeaux not Houma.

Belize is very much like New Orleans , just ask for Beans and rice as rice and Beans.

Elbert, that's red beans and rice one one of the common things between Belize and Cajun LA. Every day at lunch in HS was red beans and rice! YEA Che!
