Hello, Just currious if there is a Boxing or martial arts club on AC? I cant seem to find any in the telephone directory.

the closest thing I know is tae boe which of course is different. Mel conducts an outstanding class held at the tennis club M-Th morning and evenings and is very motivating.

There used to be a martial arts instructor who held weekly classes, but he seems to have left the island (and Belize).

That's to bad he had a lot of kids and adults in his class and it looked like they were going to a competition. My children are into Tae Kwon Do so we appreciated the level of work the people participating had put in. I hope someone takes over and gets the schools involved. It would be good for the kids and their new safe kids initiative.

Yes, I would be in for boxing.....not kick boxing, but the real thing.......

I bought a speed bag, bag gloves, med ball for Oscar's gym. The gym has a heavy bag and jump ropes. We could use some mits, heavy gloves and some other items. We had a club a few years back, with a Cuban coach and all, sent one fighter to San Antonio, he's still fighting pro, but no titles yet.


Reforming the club would be great.

How many people took part in the club? Lets try to get a one going again. Any more people interested?
