I brought my dog Foxy here 3.5 years ago. I have been bring my dogs back and forth for over 10 years now.

Bringing a pet into the country falls under live animal importation and is regulated by the Belize Agricultural Health Authority (BAHA).

Belize does not quarantine dogs and cats brought into the county.

indygal, you're referring to the BAHA permit, right?

Yes, except the passport allows you to skip getting a permit everytime you come into BZE with your pet. It was only $100bze, so is a savings also.....if it works as the fellow at BAHA said (at the airport). I have not done this yet - just got new dogs.

Yes and they are more trouble too. I have 2 puppies right now! House training is not going well.
