On the resort front, we understanding Mama Noots Backabush Lodge near Dangriga is now on the market for US$3.2 million and that Singing Sands in Maya Beach on the Placencia peninsula has recently sold for an undisclosed amount. Singing Sands has been on the market for several years for around US$800,000.

My dog (an idiot) runs in front of big vehicles every day...fortunately they're moving at about 15MPH...

believe me,, scurvy is NOT as smart as he looks!
but, he has been a 'free range' dog for going on 6 years now. seems fairly road-smart. (knocking on wood)

Smart doesn't help with a 60MPH dumptruck...

HI Lan- I see from your emails and other internet research that you are quite familiar with AC. My husband and I are planning a vacation to AC this fall and are trying to decide where to stay. Here is our wish list:
Good swimming beach, pool with view of water, hotel room with balcony and view of ocean, restaurant/bar on property, walking distance to town.
Any suggestions?
