How do I go about obtaining Direct TV? The place already has the satellite dish. What do I need to do in order to get the receive and sign up? I appreciate all the help you can give me.

Go to the States buy a receiver and sign up for service. Then bring your receiver down to Belize.

I believe Central America uses a different satellite than the US? I have been told conflicting stories on this, anyone know for sure?

I believe most houses in the US have the small oval dishes.

Bigger dish is to pick up new HD channels,small dish will still work for most non HD.I agree get reciever and service in states and bring recevier with you.
