I just stayed at the new Holiday Inn Express. Sounds cheesey but it was only $50 per night, great breakfast, and only about a 10 min walk to 5th Ave.

We stayed at Alux twice and no complaints. First time we got a discount booking online.

Short walk to the bus station and close to everything.

we stay on first street -"costa del mar"70- 80usd(depending on time of year) for two people two queen beds air tv etc and right on the beach-right next door to the blue parrot

there might be but as we go to bed at 3.00am it really makes no difference but you can go nearer first street and then no noise-I stay as near the beach as possible-least amount of exercise to the bar at the beach

we stayed at the Holiday Inn too. Not a bad hotel at a reasonable price, easy to find right off the bus route and it has a great pool.
