All I can say now is thank God we live in a country where we are free to express our different opinions, we can disagree with our government without fear of retribution, and we can all remain friends even though we don't agree with eachothers political views.

Dog, I have a question. Who controled congress for the last 58 of the last 65 years? What is the job of congress? I'm almost positive them number are correct but I'm going on memory. Come to Taxachusetts and see how the one party system is working. We've had a few Repub.governors but the veto means nothing and is over ridden regularly. Our new governor is doing a great job at driving us into more debt and it is said he will be on Obama's cabinet if O wins.

As much as I appreciate what President Roosevelt wanted to achieve, sadly much of the implementation was flawed and has now resulted in policies on both sides which I doubt he ever envisioned. Outside of Social Security and possibly the SEC, not much remains that is truly helpful to present day America.
