As far as I'm concern Obama's people could walk around with pillows under belly's and wouldnt come close to this insult against guys who got the Purple Heart.
Perpetuating wrong doing hardly seems like the best way to fix anything does it?
This is just a question, and one that I have no real means of answering myself, but what is the feeling in the military about Kerry's 3 Purple Hearts, especially amongst those who have actually received serious combat wounds?
I have only spoken to 2 recipients, 1 Republican and 1 Libertarian and they were both incensed at 2 of the 3 awards.
The comment one made was that a mechanic in the motor pool will shed more blood in an 8 hour shift fixing Humvees than Kerry did? Were his awards warranted, even if strictly within the letter of the code?
I really don't know, so this is not a "gocha" question
By the way, I stated clearly that the "source" was a comment made on the board about Carter, and also that the link to Heritage was posted along with one to AFL-CIO so anyone interested could look at both side of an issue (card check)
