Another example from Michelle Malkin’s site:
“Democratic Underground’s latest thread for commenters to come up with nicknames and posters to slime GOP Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin — and then to “spread [them] all over the ‘net.” There are now nearly 100 filthy, hate-filled responses and counting. Among the “nicer” entries: “Cruella,” “Gidget,” “Governor Jesus Camp,” “VPILF,” “Fertilla the Huntress,” “Iditabroad,” and “KILLER PYSCHO FUNDIE BITCH FROM HELL!!””

Please let’s not stoop this low and swim in the gutter. There is name calling on this Board and personal slams, but it is directed at each other and not at family members. Then we meet in SP and drink beer and blue drinks or go fishing together
No it is not OK from the Far Right either.

Agreed. Whilei have been subjected to personal attacks I wont go there. I wish the level of discourse would be elevated this year but after last night speeched by Rudy and Palin. Its just going to get worse.

I will say this while I am not crazy about the left wing bloggers going off on Bristol. We must be honest with each other. If
Barak Obama's had a teen age daughter named Ieesha Laquita Obama

Was impregnanted by a basketball player from the South Side of Chicago named Jamal Mustafa Jackson who's MOM with had 5 kids. (But to her credit never had an abortion)

Do you HONESTLY...now be honest gang...do you HONESTLY believe the RIght would put on the love fest for Ieesha Laquita Obama that they have for Bristol Palin???

I know its ugly but it is what it is.

Yes I know you said crap from the right isnt right also.

You really cant argue with that logic. But I wish th eleft would stop and just focus on the Bush/McCain policies of the last 8 years.

This is just a disatraction, and teh Rovian side of me thinks that is exactly what the right wants.

Everyone makes mistakes on the board. I know I have. When you admit your mistake such as you have done doesnt place doubts on your sincerity nor your credibility.

Here's a nice one from Rush about 13 year old Chelsea

"Everyone knows the Clintons have a cat. Socks is the White House cat. But did you know there is a White House dog?"
And he puts up a picture of Chelsea Clinton.

I will never have any sympathy for people who choose to try to be the leader of the most powerful country in the world. Anyone who has that sort of ambition needs to have thick skin.

Case in point Obama got grief when he brought his daughters out after Michelle's speech to ask them how mommy did. Its the price you pay when you drag your kids into it. I dont like it but thats part of the game.

I've read Kos, and noplace in what the original posts does it slime any of the candidates, other than perhaps mention McSame or McBush. Palin brings her own credibility to the party, which would appear to be none. The family is kept out of it, other than what McSame's surrogates bring up.

Yes and that when I lost all respect for McCain. When he got in bed with the people who made accusations about his wife and adopted child. It was disgusting. Thats why I wanted him to win so badly in 2000. I didnt want anyone to win when you got the route they did. But sadly the smearing of McCain family helped Bush win South Carolina. And then what does Mr. Straight Talk Express do? Work with the same people.

And talk about being insulting to the USA and the victims of that horrible day. George Bush and his September 11th reference in his speech was disgusting.

On September 12th, 2001 we had the entire world on our side and our nation was together as one. We were going to find Osama Bin Laden and bring him to justice. Bush stood on that pile of rubble at "Ground Zero" with the retired FDNY member and rallied the country.

Then he led us down the path to our own destruction. A war based on lies. He threw a great American Colin Powell under the bus. The "Pro Life" party has been responsible for thousands of innocent people being murdered. We started tourture and detaining people without just cause. We wasted BILLIONS of dollars over a lie. The worst part is our brave military men and women that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Remember the National Press Dinner one year? There was George joking and looking all over the stage. "nope, no weapons of mass destruction here"!. And everyone laughed and he thought he was really cute. He has divided our country into "us" vs. "them". He used scare tactics and a smear campaign to be re-elected.

Osama Bin Laden must be laughing his ass off how he put our nation into bankruptcy through his puppet GWB.

Since September 11th, 2001 President Bush has alienated the world, divided America and has become a disgrace. So much that his own party doesn't want to be seen with him. But he still had the 9/11 card to play during his speech.

All of these years and no Bin Laden capture is a travesty. My pal Ray Downey of the FDNY was killed that fatefull day. I'm sure some of you here had friends or relatives killed that day also. Until Bin Laden is brought to justice no Republican should use the "9/11" card.

Mr. McCain was with President Bush most of the way. This is the direction our nation needs? And if McCain dies in office or needs help with decisions we will sleep well at night knowing a "Hockey mom from Alaska is there to help??

Isn't anyone paying attention???????????????????????????

I am. Well said.

I dont know about that. This is a country that elected George Bush twice. I hope for the best prepare for the worst. While I love our country I also know we are easily swayed by arguments for "Hockey moms" as VP and 72yo Senators as agents of "Change".

I think the nomination was the stupidest thing ever on the Repubs part.
IMHO they are saying:
"I see your minority and raise you on inexperience. "
"The dumb women who support Hillary will support her too because she is a woman"

The man with the accent whom I cannot understand on the E train governs more people at any given time than she has.... and he has foreign policy experience.

And this one comes from the one I am unsure who she will vote for

Quote:
It's true. To think that Hilary supporters will vote Republican because he chose a woman is insulting. She is nowhere like Hilary. It's obviousl that he chose her because of here gender, because I'm sure there were better candidates with more experience. If he had chosen someone more like Hilary, I think that his strategy might have worked...at least as far as I'm concerned.

Their words. They supported and loved Hillary for who she was and what she supported. Not cause she was a woman.

For the record I sent both emails to my friend who invited me as proof I didnt make these quotes up.
