Leah-Ann used to happily and snarkily respond when in opposition to viewpoints on the board. She was a fun read and an enjoyable retort. I loved cracking back and forth with her as while we disagreed on many things, I could always be assured of a witty yet thought out response. And her posts always seemed to be posted with a smile.

Lately the posts have been the type of posts she used to decry. In fact, they seem to be devoid of all fun and instead became the attack and run style usually found in the rest of our posts. At least they don't appear to be posted with a smile.

I miss the old Leah-Ann. I miss the reprieve she provided from the jarring posts made by the rest of us.

I do have to say, the further this political stuff goes, the more I see the entire discussion more as humor and less as serious debate - so that might explain a bit about why I'm more inclined to join in with the joking and goofing off as opposed to trying to encourage serious debate. The latter seems rather unachievable at this point.

But I am touched that you thought this topic deserved a whole entire thread of its own!

so far, the best I can come up with is, "I didn't say it was your fault, I just said I was going to blame you for it." It's a bit overused, but I think it might be the best I can come up with!

Ahh, the topic drew me in, as I have great respect and affection for the young lady in question.

Leah Ann and I disagree on a wide range of subjects, agree on a few, but the mark of a friend is that these differences of opinion do not diminish the respect for the person and their ideas. Anyway, a few drinks tend to take the edge off
