So Disagreeing with the president and his policy is worthy of jail time? Is this your view of freedom where dissent is suppressed?
Of course not. If it was, then I'd be in jail.
But if I were to travel to a foreign country to actively subvert the work of the government of the US, that would be treason and I should be jailed, or put to death.
Disagreeing and making public statements about such is fine. Travel into the enemy's (or even friends') land to conspire to defeat the military and political efforts of the government is not.
