Looks like Halloween is coming a little early this year!

Seriously, though, I need to get started on Snoopy's costume (our first year). Any rules or guidelines we need to know about?

Rules? We don't need no steenkin' rules!

As with last year there will be a kids costume contest and a pets costume contest with multiple categories in each (TBD.) This year much more emphasis will be placed originality. Judging will be at 3pm sharp with prizes awarded at 4:30pm.

We'll be having tons of food, games and prizes. Food will start at noon and will run through the event. Raffles will be held throughout the afternoon and the 50/50 draw will take place at 5pm. Games will run throughout the afternoon.

Anyone wishing to volunteer their services for the event can PM with their e-mail address so I can keep you up to date on organizational meetings.

Raffle prizes and donations of funds to purchase supplies will be MORE than gratefully accepted. Please contact saga@btl.net if you wish to donate.

I wonder why there is no mention of this party on the SAGA website.

I would think they might want to get the word out as much as possable.

Probably because the Saga website doesn't get much action. This thread has been read close to 1000 times and the Facebook site has had lot's of activity as well. Ads go in the local papers this week and flyers start going out the all of the schools on the island and the resorts on Thursday. Hopefully that will cover it.

Once we have a list of prizes to put up Saga will also offer the ability to buy raffle tickets by credit card through the Saga website.

I realize it is a "Local" event but I just thought that SAGA would put a quick note on their website as it is a "SAGA" event.

Oh Well, I guess I should break out my Captain Jeff costume for the big party . No wait, I got it. I will dress up as Drummer Dan and jamm with the band.

I hope SAGA generates many donations from the new advertisement for the party on their website.

We have heard about the costume party at Holiday Hotel, but haven't seen any advertisements. It's our first Halloween here on the island and we would love to participate if anyone can give us the scoop.

Hmm I saw an ad in the local newspapers for the party. 20th year celebration.

It is an absolute ball!

The Holiday Hotel Party is held on the 3rd Saturday in October (the 25th this year.) There's usually a few hundred people at the party and it usually goes on until around 4 in the morning. Always a blast, haven't missed one since I moved here!
