The Daily said the bureau of tourism was going to displace some residents of San Mateo so they could build roads and do landfill. "Starting Right Away". Who are/is the owner(s) of this property?

I'll be happy to discuss my avatar with anyone who knows what it is.

It's not a property, it's a sub division just like San Pablo, San Telmo, San Juan, San Pedrito, etc.

The lots belong to individuals. Some are squatters that just set up shacks on what appeared to be vacant land. The subdivision has designated roadways so these are the responsibility of the Government. The roads need to be filled and maintained. The power lines and other services will need to be run along the designated roadways too.

I see the article states "temporarily relocating."

Is there a map anywhere that delineates the various subdivisions? I've never seen one and I'm quite hazy about where some are.

no. there isn't such a map on the web. I purchased some of the subdivision maps from the mapping section in Belmopan. I think they are $50 per sheet. And they don't name subdivisions - they simply show parcel designation numbers.
