Confused ?

I've just added a footnote to my post at the bottom of the second page of this thread. City of London financiers can expect to receive just GBP3.5bn in bonuses this year, on top of their already very high salaries. This is well down from last year - I wonder how they'll cope.

peter, the only comment i have is that people in good financial positions should be wary to plan for the future. sometimes, gravy trains run their courses.

does anyone have any real thoughts or statistics on how much influence credit card debt had on today's financial situation?

sweetjane, I don't know about the credit card debt but I bet it's a lot. I don't think that domino has fallen yet,
but it will.

Peter you are right it is 500 Billion and now we have found out 1 in 4 councils have a billion in banks in Iceland. Looks like council tax is going up to pay for it.
