sweetjane, for some reason this always happens on a Friday after those martini lunches

After reading "November Roll Call" I am bumping this back into the limelight as I think we need more contestants and let me clarify the contest as I may have confused some.
The BBQ Sauce can be homemade or if you don't want to bother with it you can bring pre-packed bottles with you if your region has a favorite. In the Memphis grocery stores you can't walk down the isle without seeing a dozen "Memphis own" sauces so I am going to showcase one that my friend has bottled and have a case shipped to the island.
Judging - Everyone who wants to sample the sauce and vote can do so after you pay a (TBA) dollar amount and you would get a ballot and a sample of each contestant’s entry. You vote on your favorite and after the tally we will announce the winner and the winner will donate to their favorite island charity. People can vote as many times as they wish as I have asked (begged) Ms Trumpet to vote for me and not KC. I hear that DCG is working on a special ‘apron’ to garner some votes so originality can’t hurt either.
So even if you are not a BBQ aficionado or (like me) don’t want to bother with making a sauce yet like a bottled one then throw some in your bag and enter it. The biggest thing is that we want everyone to get together, we have a little friendly competition and in the end we raise some money for a charity on an island that we all love.
I expect to see some others throw their name in the bucket and let’s have a good time! We are working on the food so I can assure you we will have something for you to try the sauce with and a big thanks to the owners of BC’s for letting us use their grills.

I am already preparing a back up plan as I know that KC, Shuffles, DCG have alerted the customs declaration people at the airport to ‘confiscate’ my bbq sauce with my picture so I may have to mail mine to the Taco Shack!

So how about it? I expect to see an entry from AZ, CA, Wonderwoman, Loansum, and possibly the momma of the Tacogirl! I am sure I forgot someone so call me out and enter this!

When are you bumping this back to? I'll be there from 11/15-22, if you want something from AZ! I would love to, but I need to smuggle good stuff in.

CB, how 'bout seeing if some of your local fave eateries will participate? maybe walter (pedro's) or lil red (monkey bites), people like that, will participate for charity?

Good Call Jane but we know that the British don't know Jack about BBQ sauce (cowering from a British $hitstorm) and Lil Red come on and join in. How about my favorite Breakfast joint up on the north end (That I might add was closed for vaction when I was down in July!) you want in Kathy?

You can count my mom (Kathy)in as a judge lol She will be busy enough on her keeping up with us lot and meeting everyone let alone thinking about cooking a sauce.

I'll put my bbq sauce up against anyone's, but there is no way I can compete with spurs in an apron contest!!! Is this a "blind" taste test or are we talkin fashion show/popularity contest?

We welcome the junior Senator from the Golden State and would like to see if any of the restaurants on the island would like to get in on the fun.

Still working on the rules LA, will advise when I have a spare moment to work on them.
