The HummingBird Cafe has opened in the Vilma Linda Plaza (formerly Tabu), open from 8 - 4 (for now).

lots of folks went to the opening ,it was great and there was a thread on this a few days ago but I can't find it now.

Went for lunch today. Very good and really cute the way Tammy has it fixed up. Food and service both excellent. They are also offering "airline meals"......call ahead and give them your order and they will have it ready for you before your Tropic flight, delivered right to the ticket counter.

No more Tabu???? Say it ain't so!!! What about all the wonderful bakery items we could never resist...and what about the best cheesecake in the world??? Please tell me that Rebecca has relocated somewhere and we can still enjoy her tasty treats!

The same chef is on staff and the same delicious treats are available - plus more.

From the Ambergris Today....

A sweet spot has just recently opened in town where you can indulge in everything from sweet pastries to salads, wraps, burgers & sandwiches and a large variety of breakfast options. Flutter by the Hummingbird Café to discover the great food and sweet delights they have to offer.

Previously the location for Tabu Restaurant, and now under new management, Hummingbird Café offers a new menu, new environment and new specials. The restaurant is open from 8a.m. to 4p.m. offering unique breakfast and lunch menus at reasonable prices, including daily specials and also serving Gallon Jug Beef. Dinner is offered by reservations only.

Ambergris Today was invited at their open house event this past Saturday, October 11, and needless to say, the restaurant was teeming with guests who enjoyed complimentary drinks and finger licking food. Our staff will definitely be back at Hummingbird Café to do a full review of the new food, so stay tuned for that in an upcoming issue of Ambergris Today.
