I don't consider myself more intelligent, however, I just passed my GED exam and feeling pretty cocksure. I'm guessing the chart statistics are less likely influenced by the president or congress and are likely subsumed by the influence of the federal reserve's monetary policies. Politicians are quick to take credit for economic advances even though they've had little to do with them. On the other hand, they typically run and hide and blame others when confronted with economic disasters.
