Very, very interesting, lots of truth and reality points, and some fun replies, too. Elbert is quite realistic with his thoughts, but bear in mind people, that people are people no matter where they are. The petty jealousies of a tiny community are just more obvious when you keep running into the same little groups of individuals on the streets, in the grocery stores, at the offices, and in the water. They're not much different than TX, FL, NJ, CA or anywhere else. There's a pull that becomes almost a physical pain for some of us as we anticipate a great change in our lives. It's fabulous and scary at the same time. We think that the change will develop our lives into peace and balance when we change our neighborhood, our friends or our country. But, what I've experienced and seen with others is the problems and anxieties that grip you in one place will shortly find you in the next unless you're very strong, quite persistent and fairly lucky. I made the move about 11 months ago with a financial cushion for what I thought would be ample time. Hurricane Keith set me and my "plans" off-kilter by about 8-12 months which brought about some changes. I haven't given up yet, but I'm taking another approach for the time being. You can have it all, but be careful what you go after and don't lose yourself in the process.
