Has anyone heard about some new condos going in just past the airport?

A marina, motel rooms (I think), condos, and possibly single family lots are being planned on the northwest end of the runway. Their enviromental plan was filed recently.

Is that not where the garbage dump is?? Anyone know prices?

That project has been in the works for years.It usually takes years more before an Envir. statement gets approved, then years to build. She is working hard to succeed despite the many obstacles she faces right now both private and biz. Her planned resort is on the sea but the dump is in the middle of the island east of her. She has a plan to move it elsewhere.

Dane, did you mean the dump will be moved? Would anyone know where?

Long answer-The possible new locations are such a sensitive matter that those who wish to move it anywhere have learned to not discuss it widely. I don't know her plan. Years ago the GOB said that they would take our waste if we brought it to the City at our own expense.The cargo boats go back to the City empty.
Do you know of anyplace on the CC seafront that would welcome a loading facility? It would need to be easily accessible from the village or folks would not bring their waste. GOB owns no seafront on CC so it would have to be private property.
