Thanks for the idea, bontheb!

So, I have this recado and don't have a clue what to do with it! Can anyone give any pointers? I know I can google it, but I would rather have folks that I kinda-sorta know tell me what to do. Thx!

use it as a rub on chicken breasts and throw 'em on the grill!

I can never remember which is better . . . safe? . . . or sorry?

An ingredient in most Belizean stew chicken.
Also great with

Ground beef
Tomato Paste
Beef bullion
Diced Can tomatoes (or fresh)
Chopped onion
Garlic
Red Recado

mix together in frying pan and roll in cabbage or corn tortillas.

Also delicious with
Snapper
Tomatoes, green pepper, onion
Chocho
Habenero Pepper
Olive Oil
Red recado

Another good one with Chicken
chicken
red recado
pepper
garlic powder
seasoned salt
olive oil
brown sugar
cup ketchup
vinager (I recently used the BZ pineapple wine instead)
pineapple
chopped onion

Black recato is delicous in several soups including Chimole...mmm speaking about soups makes me think I'll make Escabeche tomorrow.
