It's not actually indigenous grass it is zoysia grass. Works great here.

what are the rules about bringing grass seed in? Just curious. Be nice if you could get ahold of some of that Zoysia. It sounds like what Harriette described.

Zoysia is spread via cuttings...very easy...just get clippings from an existing lawn and spread them on the ground..they will staert and spread to cover your area.
