I'll be visiting Belize in early January '09. We expect to spend a couple days on Caye Caulker then want to rent a car and explore the mainland for the remainder of our stay. Any suggestions on getting a good deal on a rental car? Is it better to rent in Belize City, Dangriga or somewhere else? We'll fly out of Belize Int'l at the end of our stay. I'll be traveling with 3 friends.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Beth

Have used them on multiple occasions and they are good. Like Pedro said, they will pick you up. If you are in Caulker, fly into Municipal as it is much cheaper than International. They usually have several models to choose from and are easy to work with. Renting a car is a great way to really see the beauty of Belize up close and personal.

"Northern Highway" in this context merely means on one of the roads leading out of Belize City.

I also like locally owned Vista Rentals in Belize City. info@vistarentalsbelize.com & have used Budget too. All are fine and have decent vehicles.
