What are the various ways to get to Punta Gorda and what are approximate costs, aggravations and lengths of time for the travel?

Fly.....my opinion. TZA - PG $200.50 US round trip. You'll stop in Dangriga and Placencia for about 10 minutes. Flight takes about an hour total.

You can also get a water taxi in PG that goes to either Livingston or Puerto Barrios in Guatemala which is around $25 BZ each way.

I checked flight on Tropic and for some reason I'm thinking it was much more than that.

Oh, sorry, I'd checked from San Pedro. That added $67 to it and then I have to convert to Cdn $, which makes it "ouchy".

Cheapest way would be water taxi from San Pedro to Belize City and then by bus from Belize City. James Line is the best of the bunch. Mostly local buses but there are a couple of expresses daily. From memory, and I may be off a couple of dollahs, it's US$14 or so. Really not a bad trip if you can get an express.

13 US one way last trip I took, PG to BC. Express bus takes about 5 hours.
