We will be on the Island in May this year,What is it like during that time of year?We have been in Dec?Jan in the past but wanted to see what things are like in May.We will be staying way up North at Tranquility Bay so we will get a taste of the North end of Ambergris Caye this visit. We won't be able to get to San Pedro every day but should have peace and relaxation. Are there any good place to eat in that area? Thanks
Made many trips in May around Mothers Day & always had great weather(mid 80s nice breeze) Other than a few ankle biters I've really had no problem with sand fleas. besides Feb. May is my favorite month to go down to S.P.
Generally if you either keep away from sandy ground for around an hour either side of dusk, or spray your lower legs liberally, you'll have no problems with sand flies.
Thanks J Dog and Peter for your replies. We will come prepared for those ankle biters. How about any places to eat(other than the Tackle Box on site) or will it be a boat ride to town. Thanks Again
Thanks Marty ,we definitly will go by Turtlemans house. That sounds like a Great experience ,some good fellowship and food. Thanks Marty for all you do on the Forum....It is Great.Hope to get a chance to meet you. Thanks Again,Jim
