I suppose there are several different ways to evaluate "good" but for cheap and cheerful (if you don't mind watching how the make it) Sun Up Combination Rice is always my first stop on the island.........then again you may wish to consider that I'm 30lbs* overweight! *Well 30ish

There's a little take out place across the street from the Reef Restaurant. We had lunch there a few times, go sit at the park and eat. Also, there was another more formal at the end of the runway, upstairs of a building. We stumbled onto that one looking for a pasta place I think was next door. The food was super! As is all the food in SP in my opinion.

We love Cindy's, just aroung the corner from Rock's and across from Nancy's. It is not a dine in place, carry out. They have wonderful Egg Fu Yung. Very reasonalbe, and enomous helpings. Also good fried chicken.

Not a whole lot of great chinese food on the island. Mostly fast chinese food.

The place next door to Gecko Graphics made good sweet and sour shrimp but they closed down. I have tried other places but they all make deep fried shrimp that they give you sweet & sour sauce for. NOT! Any of you know where the real thing can be found?

They are where the old Jambels used to be around the corner from Big Daddys.

Why are all the directions in Code?
Go by where the Old Church used to be, and then when you get to where Mrs Smiths house was before it burned down, head towards Bobs.......

I think it's actually across from the Old Church - after the 4th palm tree that is kinda in the middle of the road. If anyone uses street names I'm lost. "Code directions" work everytime.

Maybe we should go futuristic and talk in terms of miles and kilometers....

But still leaves the confusion on whether you say Front Street or Barrier Reef Drive.

Yes, the ever more pressing problem of tourists getting lost in San Pedro because of the confusion between Barrier Drive and Front street requires some really serious thoughts to city planning, lol.

I have extreme difficulty with some traders getting things delivered to my house. The actual address means nothing to them, nor do points of the compass, so I'm reduced to saying "it's near ****". I can understand tourists getting lost, but surely local shop staff should have maps with the streets named on them?

Last week the Hungry Monkey sub shop put an ad in the paper looking for staff. It contained location and point of reference. I still had a dozen people come to The Monkey Bite's or telephone me looking to apply for the position.
