Hello,

I'll be visiting with 3 friends next week. We want to book a hotel in Belize City for the night before we depart from Belize Int'l airport. Can anyone recommend a hotel that's safe and reasonably? I stayed at one several years ago but can't remember the name. Seems to me it was an chain we have here in the States.

Belize Biltmore, a Best Western, about 15 mins from the Intl with a parking lot, pool and restaurant on premises

Thanks, Katie. I had actually checked into that hotel but the rate was $134/night. We're hoping to find something a little less expensive, if possible.

BTW, I checked out your website. Very nice!

Biltmore is way over priced and kinda run down. We have never stayed at Dnest but hear it is lovely. We stayed that the chinese hotel at the end of the airport road on the northern highway. Was nice and price was about 70 Us for the night. We also have stayed at the Embassey hotel right at the airport. Kind of run down and not that cheap.

I have stayed at D'nest and would do so again. If you ventured to the site provided by Katie and found the trip advisor reports you can see that people have glowing reports about the place.

Check out their website at http://www.dnestinn.com/ and see for yourself. Their little garden is so beautiful.

My son and I stayed there for two nights and did a tour to Xunantunich and the Belize zoo arranged by Gaby.

Gaby and Oty are wonderful hosts.

Gail cool

Have you been in Belize before?

D'nest is very nice

Global Village is the name of the hotel on the Northern Highway near Intl Airport in Ladyville. A two minute walk and you are at Manatee Lookout Restaurant and Bar and they do delicious Lebanese food and offer a brilliant setting on the Belize River. GV used to offer free airport shuttle but don't know if that is still the case.
