I just found some left over currency from a trip to other Central American countries in October and I was wondering how difficult it is to get these currencies changed into Belize Dollars once I arrive on AC? They're not huge amounts, but it's highly unlikely I'll be getting back to Honduras or Costa Rica any time soon, so I'd rather have a few extra BZ $ if the banks on AC will convert them for me. Is it worthwhile for me to bring this with me or will the banks not be willing/able to convert it?

Sorry, Lakegirl... looks like it might be US exchange only. :-(

Hi lakegirl... Just got the answer to our question. Looks like no banks on the island will convert the extra currency I've got, however you can get your Pesos exchanged at Milo's Centre on Middle Street. It looks like an office to pay electric bills or something, but there's a bunch of flags outside and a sign that says Western Union, etc... Go in there, get in the Western Union line, and they'll do it for you.
