The Ministry of Finance wishes to inform the general public that fuel products were imported via two tankers in December and hence there were two price changes. The first tanker, loaded with Premium and Regular Gasoline arrived on December 29, 2008. The second tanker, loaded with Premium, Kerosene and Diesel Gasoline arrived on January 3, 2009.

The first pump price changes were limited to Premium Gasoline and Regular and came into effect on December 30, 2008.
The Belize City Pump Prices per gallon changed as follows:

Premium - From $6.16 to $4.85
Regular - From $5.74 to $4.55

The second shipment caused pump price changes for Premium Gasoline, Kerosene and Diesel and came into effect on January 4, 2009.
The Belize City Pump Prices per gallon for fuel products are as follows:

Premium Gasoline - $5.44
Regular Gasoline - $4.55
Kerosene Oil - $4.41
Diesel Oil - $4.79

Prices for fuel products in the districts will also be reduced commensurately.

The Ministry also informs the public that, in keeping with Government policy, any future price changes in acquisition cost will be passed on fully to the prices at the pump
