On Ebay I won a bunch of slides that were taken in Belize in 1977. I had them transferred to a CD and loaded some of them onto my Flickr site. I cannot tell what some of these places are and of course I do not know any of the people in the pics. If you check them out and know, let me know! recognized 064. Was taken from inside of Jack Usher's machine shop which was and still is located off Glen Street just before Euphrates Avenue in Belize City. Usher died a couple of years ago and I don't think anyone took over the shop. Do recognize the machines and the setting of door and big window. Don't recognize any of the persons but I am pretty sure that neither is Jack.
I have tagged a bunch of the pics from info I got from some kind folks on my listgroup. If anyone else can ident these pics, or if I missed something that someone posted, please let me know! Thanks!!

Wow, great pics. I've read some comments before by people that seem to indicate that Belize City was not as rough back then as it can be now, and these pictures show a side of Belize City that frankly I don't see when I drive through it now. It's just interesting for tourists like me to picture what the whole country was like 30 years ago, before independence, and before anyone even knew about the country.
Just FYI another poster has added many idents in the comments of each photo. If you scroll through the pics via the photostream option, you can read them.
